Petty Officer 3rd Class Trever Petre, aviation structural mechanic, uses a magnifying glass to inspect the bearings of an F/A-18 Hornet tire in Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department's Tire Shop aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. Nimitz and Carrier Air Wing 11 are conducting Composite Training Unit Exercise off the coast of Southern California in preparation of a scheduled Western Pacific Deployment.
