A U.S. Navy Marine Mammal, a bottlenose dolphin, surfaces while making a number of dives during a routine training in search of unidentified objects in the Corpus Christi Shipping Channel. This dolphin is part of a Marine Mammal Mine Hunting System that is being utilized as part of the Corpus Christi Maritime Homeland Security Limited Objective Experiment. The LOE is using state-of-the-art technology and systems to further develop tactics, techniques and procedures to counter a naval mine threat to harbor waterways.
