Spc. Joseph Lopez, an armor crewmember assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, works with a military housing representative from Fort Carson, Colo., to secure quarters for his family, May 8, during the Mountain Post Welcome held at Club Hood. Amongst a myriad of activities and vendors, Lopez, a native of Santa Maria, Calif., opened a new Colorado bank account at the information fair with his wife, Kristin, and said he found the event held by Fort Carson and Colorado Springs community leaders and organizations to be very beneficial for Soldiers preparing for a permanent change of station to the Mountain Post.
