On Christmas Day, Arizona Sen. and Purple Heart recipient John McCain, flew to Afghanistan and awarded Purple Hearts to 1st Lt. Giovanni Tomasi, 1st Sgt. Christopher Lewis, and Specialist Michael Stafford. Sen.
