The Second Annual POW/MIA walk was held at Veteran’s Park Friday Sept. 19. Members from the 117th Air Refueling Wing gathered to take part in a 16 mile walk as a way to commemorate the Prisoners of War and Missing In Action and to show solidarity for their loved ones. Tech. Sgt. Matthew Crawford organized the local event, which began last year. Crawford, a member of the 99th Air Refueling Squadron came up with the idea of a 16 mile walk that translates to nearly 83,000 steps, which is approximately the number of MIAs still missing.
