Staff Sgt. Edward Fairley, from Gulfport, Mississippi, talks to Marines and sailors about his thoughts on diversity Dec. 2 during Diversity Observance Day on Camp Hansen. “Equality is something that we are all striving for, it’s something that we all want, we all fight for, we all earned, and we all deserve,” said Fairley. This was the first year Diversity Observance Day was held and it is planned to become an annual event, according to Master Gunnery Sgt. Rafika O.
