2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Public Affairs

Soldiers of Battery B, 1st Battalion, 9th Field Artillery Regiment “Battlekings”, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, fire cannons to give honors during the 2nd ABCT's reorganization ceremony held Oct. 24. The ceremony was held in order to formalize the reassignment of both the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment “Battle Boars,” and the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment “Desert Rogues,” to the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat and the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team respectively. In addition to these two battalions, multiple companies also transitioned as complete units from within Spartan ranks to new organizations within the division footprint. The ceremony marks one of the final steps taken to inactivate the 2nd ABCT, slated to take place in January.
