U.S. and Iraqi sailors march on the Khawr Al Amaya Oil Terminal off the coast of Basra in the Persian Gulf during a ceremony to turn over control of the terminal from the U.S. Navy to the Iraqi navy. This turnover is the first step of a multi-step naval transition plan that will eventually transfer security responsibilities to the Iraqi navy.
