Firefighters from El Salvador start to extinguish a simulated petroleum, oil and lubricants running pool fire during the El Salvador’s Autonomous Executive Port Commission airport firefighter live-fires on Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Dec. 3, 2014. The 612th ABS firefighters facilitated El Salvador’s Autonomous Executive Port Commission airport firefighter qualification by providing live-fires. The Salvadoran airport firefighters have a requirement very similar to the United States standards that requires members of their airport fire departments to be qualified annually on their ability to control a live-fire.
