Sailors assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego march in the San Diego Veterans Day Parade with the theme “A Tribute to Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.” President Eisenhower dedicated Nov. 11 as Veterans Day in 1954 and called upon all citizens to participate. Veterans Week San Diego produced the parade, honoring the sacrifices of U.S. veterans of the past and present.
