Sailors assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) stand in formation at Parade Rest at the NMCSD flag circle prior to their participation in the San Diego Veterans Day Parade. President Eisenhower dedicated Nov. 11 as Veterans Day in 1954, and called upon all citizens to participate. As Veterans Day is observed nationwide, the San Diego Veterans Day Parade recognizes the contributions of all of our Veterans from every branch of Armed Forces in all eras of service.
