The royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Toronto (F 333) prepares to moor in front of the guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) at the Piraeus Cruise Passenger Terminal for a port visit. Toronto is part of Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) and Leyte Gulf is the flagship of SNMG2. The ships are in the Mediterranean region supporting Operation Active Endeavour and conducting maritime operations in the region to actively demonstrate NATO’s resolve to help deter, defend, disrupt and protect against terrorism.
