Brig. Gen. Brian Bishop, 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing commander, greets former Staff Sgt. Philip Broome, an Original Tuskegee Airman, with a 332nd AEW patch upon his arrival on April 23. Overall, four Original Tuskegee Airmen, the famed World War II aviation pioneers, visited the wing April 23-25 to meet Airmen deployed at Joint Base Balad. The 332nd AEW traces its military lineage back to the Tuskegee Airmen, who were part of the 332nd Fighter Group.
