C Company, 2nd Battalion, 149th General Support Aviation Battalion, held a ceremony to name their Medical Evaluation Compound after fallen Spc. Heath Pickard, C Co., 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment automatic rifleman, who died serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Pickard MEDEVAC Compound naming ceremony was held on Joint Base Balad, Iraq on April 20. Cpt. Cicconetti, 1st Platoon Leader, C Co., 1st Bn., 5th Inf. Regt. shared his feelings about Spc. Pickard with those assembled.
