Latvian soldiers from Company B, 1st Battalion, Infantry Brigade move from their landing zone toward their assault positions during a training exercise at Adazi Training Area, Latvia, Nov. 20, 2014. The exercise consisted of an assault of a village, as well as a search and rescue of a hostage in the village. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
