Latvian troops from Company B, 1st Battalion, Infantry Brigade, move out from a village after completion of a training exercise consisting of an assault of the village and search and rescue of a hostage at Adazi Training Area, Latvia, Nov. 20, 2014. Soldiers from Company A, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, provided armor support for the exercise and technical guidance during the planning and practice phases of the training operation. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
