Capt. Jason E. Misner sings karaoke Oct. 30 at the Hikarigaoka Nursing Home. The singing was part of a party held to thank the Marines who have been volunteering at the nursing home for more than two decades. “Our battalion has been [volunteering] for 20 years now,” said Misner, the company commander of Headquarters Company, 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, III MEF. “We are keeping the bonds we have made, and continuing this tradition. The most important part of this is sharing our culture with them, and their culture with us.” Misner is from Prescott, Arizona. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Tyler S. Giguere/Released)
