U.S. Army Cpl. Thomas Olson, a combat engineer team leader from Company A, 91st Engineer Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, radios the coordinates of a tank fighting position he and his team are preparing prior to a live-fire tank maneuver exercise at the Adazi Training Area, Latvia, Nov. 14, 2014. The exercise was conducted with U.S. armor, infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) and Norwegian IFVs as part of the U.S. Army’s Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
