Plane directors give the signal for an F/A 18C Hornet, attached to the “Valions” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 15, to launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). George H.W. Bush is returning to its homeport in Norfolk, Va., after completing a deployment to the U.S. 6th and 5th Fleet Area of Operations (AOO) in support of U.S. national security interests. The deployment is part of a regular rotation of forces to support maritime security operations and theater security efforts.
