Lt. Alexander Fletcher, assigned to the “Golden Warriors” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 87, launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in an F/A-18C Hornet. George H.W. Bush is returning to its homeport in Norfolk, Va., after completing a deployment to the U.S. 6th and 5th Fleet Area of Operations (AOO) in support of U.S. national security interests. The deployment is part of a regular rotation of forces to support maritime security operations and theater security efforts.
