Benjamin Chido is the starting pitcher in the line-up against the San Diego Padres rookie players at the training facility. The baseball team representing joint service personnel assigned to U.S. Southern Command is on a friendship tour scheduled to travel to five Latin American nations engaging military and civilian teams in a game of baseball. The team is conducting baseball clinics at local communities for children throughout South, Central America and Caribbean countries strengthening ties through a shared interest in baseball.
