The courtyard at Garkalnes School, Latvia, during an outreach event put on by representatives from the Latvian, Norwegian and U.S. armies on Nov. 11, 2014. Children had the opportunity to try on Army body-armor, climb in and out of military vehicles and watch demonstrations of explosives ordnance disposal robots during the event. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
