Eighty-four-years-young Army Signal Corps Sgt. Jim Conway takes a moment of reflection as he rests upon a panel that features access to his story and other combat veterans who fought in the Korean War. Conway was one of several in attendance at the Atlanta History Center’s Veterans Park Commemorative program Tuesday. An avid photographer and active in the Korean War Veterans Association of Georgia, he takes great pride in assisting in the gathering of the audio and video history that is collected and housed at the AHC and shared with the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.
