Marines aboard an amphibious assault vehicle with 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division drive into the ocean during a beach operation aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 31, 2014. Marines and sailors with II Marine Expeditionary Force, II Marine Expeditionary Brigade, and their supporting elements are conducting operations as part of Exercise Bold Alligator. Bold Alligator is a scenario-driven, simulation-supported, amphibious assault exercise and is the largest exercise held on the East Coast. The exercise is scheduled to be conducted through Nov. 10.
