Lt. Col. Douglas Hurst served as the commander of troops during the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) Operational Command Post (Forward) change of command ceremony on Camp Arifjan, Nov. 5. The outgoing Detachment 7 provided support to twenty-five rotating subordinate medical units and personnel consisting of over 1,000 joint service members and civilian contractors throughout the U.S. Army Central area of responsibility.
