Marines disembark Assault Amphibious Vehicles during a simulated assault Nov. 1 at Oura Wan Beach, Camp Schwab, Japan. The assault is part of Blue Chromite 15, an exercise that demonstrates the Navy and Marine Corps’ amphibious and expeditionary capabilities from the sea. The Marines are with 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
