The Best Warrior Competition included a land navigation course with a Warrior Task and Battle Drill for the competitors to complete at each point. The tasks included perform first aid for a bleeding extremity, search a detainee, evaluate a casualty, conduct a SALUTE report (size, activity, location, uniform, time and equipment), and call up a 9-line medevac.
The 228th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade conducted the Best Warrior Competition Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 at the University Readiness Center in Spartanburg, S.C. to identify the Best Warrior NCO and Best Warrior Soldier to represent the brigade at the state-level competition.
