U.S. Army Lt. Col. Suzanne Adkinson, commander for 71st Battler Field Surveillance Brigade, Texas Army National Guard affixes Sgt. First Class Nathan Canales new rank to his uniform during a promotion ceremony at Camp Atterbury, Ind., March 2. Sgt. 1st Class Canales is the supply sergeant of 143rd Long Range Surveillance Detachment Texas Agriculture Development Team 2, Texas Army National Guard. The unit is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in March in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The Soldiers will work with the Afghan government and other stakeholders to improve agribusiness.
