Hazmat team members Staff Sgt. Don Carson and Tech Sgt. Casey Peterson from the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard double check their procedures in an effort to clean up a simulated hydrazine spill during a Major Accident Response Exercise on Buckley Air Force Base. Members from the Colorado Air National Guard and the 460th Space Wing joined forces on Buckley Air Force Base to conduct a MARE training event. The exercise scenario was based on a simulated aircraft crash on base and evaluated the response efforts from the base fire department, hazmat clean-up team, security forces, as well as many others.
