Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer, mayor of Snellville, Ga., reads the proclamation designating, March 29, as Cpl. Jonathan R. Ayers Day in the City of Snellville. The Ayers family received this proclamation, in addition to the Georgia General Assembly legislative action, designating the highway interchange of Georgia Highway 78 and Killian Hill Rd., Gwinnett County, Snellville, Ga., as the Cpl. Jonathan Ryan Ayers Interchange. Ayers was a graduate of Shiloh High School and a member of the U.S. Army, killed in Afghanistan, July 13, 2008.
