German Sailors, assigned to the FCS Niedesachsen, salvage items for later use while participating in a community relations project for The Sisters at the Monastery in La Cartuja in Jerez, Spain. Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 Detail Rota, along with U.S. Sailors from the USS Leyte Gulf (CG55), German Sailors from FCS Niedesachsen and Turkish Sailors from TCG Kemalries, participated in the community relations project which helps foster lasting relationships with the local community.
