Operation’s Specialist 3rd Class Carah O. Hinzey, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., scans the horizon for ships and small boats as the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) arrives at Changi Naval Base for a scheduled port visit. Dewey is underway as part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group. Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are on deployment in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
