Lance Cpls. Derek K. Cornelius, left, and Jonathan P. Delgado execute tactical reloads Sept. 11 on the well deck of the USNS Sacagawea. The Marines were completing reload drills to improve combat proficiency. The training is part of exercise T-AKE 14-2, a maritime pre-positioned force, multi-country theater security cooperation event that deploys from Okinawa aboard the USNS Sacagawea to conduct training exercises throughout the Asia-Pacific area of operations. Cornelius is from La Junta, Colorado, and is a technical controller Marine assigned to the Provisional Rifle Platoon with Combat Logistics Detachment 379, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Delgado is from Boynton Beach, Florida, and is a digital multi-channel wideband transmission equipment operator part assigned to the PRP with the detachment.
