Lance Cpls. Jonathan P. Delgado, left, and Taylor C. Branyan execute speed reloads Sept. 11 on the well deck of the USNS Sacagawea. The Marines completed the drills to improve speed in reload techniques vital to close-quarters combat. The training is part of exercise T-AKE 14-2, a maritime pre-positioned force, multi-country theater security cooperation event that deploys from Okinawa aboard the USNS Sacagawea to conduct training exercises throughout the Asia-Pacific area of operations. Delgado is from Boynton Beach, Florida, and is a digital multi-channel wideband transmission equipment operator assigned to the Provisional Rifle Platoon with Combat Logistics Detachment 379, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Branyan is from Kokomo, Indiana, and is a tactical switching operator assigned to the PRP with the detachment.
