Kathia M. Purcell, wife of Master Sgt. Heriberto Purcell and native of Puerto Rico, carries two 30-pound ammunition cans while running the movement under fire portion of the combat fitness test during the 8th Engineer Support Battalion’s Jane Wayne Day, Sept. 30, 2014. By doing activities that their Marines do every day, spouses were able to gain a deeper appreciation for their husband or wife and now have a better basis for understanding and communication in their relationship.
