Cpl. Matthew Mays, Multi-National Division – Center, Operations and Plans, Air Night Operations non-commissioned officer, sits at the position of attention during a 10th Mountain Division NCO of the Month competition recently as board members test his knowledge on Army regulations and leading Soldiers. Mays, who won the NCO competition, said he prepared for the board by studying everything related to those topics. The Rapid City, S.D., native added that Soldiers who have never been in front of a board should hold mock boards to get an idea of what it will be like.
