Builder 1st Class Carlos Hernandez, assigned to Underwater Construction Team One (UCT ONE) aboard USNS Apache (T-ATF-172) conducts structural and environmental survey of Tactical Air Combat Training System (TACTS) towers for future demolition operations. TACTS towers were constructed in 1987 to provide aircrew training and performance evaluation in air-to-air combat but are now functionally obsolete.
