Gas Turbine System (Mechanical) 2nd Class Jason Large, from Aiken, S.C., is capped to second class petty officer by the command master chief and the commanding officer during an all hands call on the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104). Sterett is underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility as part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group. Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are on deployment in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
