Re-enactors of American Non-commissioned officers throughout history take the floor during a ceremony celebrating the NCO at Conmy Hall on Fort Myer, Va., Thursday, March 9. Later, 13 National Guard members were inducted into the NCO Corps. This year is the Year of the NCO, where various events are highlighting the contributions of NCOs as the "backbone of the Army."
