Sailors from deck department aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) prepare to receive spanning wire from Fleet replacement oiler USNS Guadalupe (T-AO 200) for a replenishment at sea (RAS). An RAS is conducted to resupply the ship with essentials from food to parts and even mail while underway.
