U.S. Marines with an embarkation team, Aviation Combat Element, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, load a CH-53E Super Stallion onto a U.S. Air Force C-5 Galaxy aboard Royal Australian Air Force Base Darwin Sept. 23, 2014. The Aviation Combat Element has retrograded back to their home station aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. During their six-month rotation, the Marines with MRF-D conducted independent and bilateral training with the Australian Defence Force aboard existing ADF facilities.
