    Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Brody Jarnagin, from Guthrie, Okla., assigned to the Sunliners of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 uses a burrowscope during a 200-hour inspection on an F/A-18E Super Hornet in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are on deployment in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a U.S.–only biennial exercise in which participation will focus on the integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
