Lt. Cdr. Kevin West of the Navy Office of Community outreach is interviewed by WVLT Channel 8's Nate McClaughlin as sailors prepare to deliver food for the Meals on Wheels program. Around 16 Sailors volunteered for this program and delivered over 50 meals around the Knoxville area Sept. 3. This activity was part of the Navy Week taking place here in the Knoxville area Sept. 1-7. Knoxville Navy Week is one of 21 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2009. Navy Weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
