Navy Counselor 1st Class Kellie E. Carter, right, from Oviedo, Fla., and Damage Controlman 3rd Class Keair C. Jones, from Memphis, Tenn., set a table in remembrance of U.S. prisoners of war and missing in action (POW/MIA) personnel on the mess decks of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105). Dewey is underway as part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group. Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing 17, are on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations supporting Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a U.S.-only biennial exercise in which participation will focus on the integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
