Attendees wait for an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft to be opened for walkthroughs Sept. 6 during the Japanese-American Friendship Festival at Yokota Air Base. The festival is an annual event that gives locals a chance to see the aircraft that the U.S. military and Japan Air Self-Defense Force use. This year marked the first time the Osprey was displayed at the festival, with more than 148,000 people attending the event. The Osprey is assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Thor J.
