Joshua Webster, a Long Beach, Calif., native and platoon leader assigned to the Company D, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade leads mounted live-fire training from a Humvee gunner’s turret at Bucierez Range near Drawkso Pomorskie, Poland Aug. 26. Paratroopers of the Polish army’s 6th Airborne Brigade and the U.S. Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade trained side-by-side, firing heavy weapons mounted on Humvees to better understand the similarities and differences in training tactics between NATO forces. Operation Atlantic Resolve is a series of combined training exercises with U.S., Polish, Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian military forces to foster cohesive relationships and demonstrate a commitment to NATO obligations.
