Aviation Boatswains Mate (Handling) 2nd Class James Horton, from Juniper, Fla., directs an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Stingers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 113 to an elevator in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are on deployment in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
