A memorial stands to honor the service and sacrifice of Staff Sgt. Mark Baum, killed in action, Feb. 21, while conducting a combat patrol north of Baghdad. Baum, a Soldier from Company B, 1st Battalion, 111th Infantry, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, was the 33rd Pennsylvania National Guard Soldier to die in Iraq or Afghanistan since 9/11.
