Members of the 4-23 Infantry Regiment run to cover during an urban assault course during Operation Rising Thunder at Yakima Training Center, Wash., Sept. 8. Operation Rising Thunder brings together Soldiers with 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division and Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force for joint training. The exercise will focus on combined arms in conjunction with maneuver and firepower and trained bilaterally with Japan and the U.S to enhance interoperability.
