Members of the Decontamination Element of the Ohio National Guard FEMA Region V Homeland Response Force (HRF) stand and wait to verify if they were completely decontaminated after finishing in the mobile decontamination station, July 23, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The Decontamination Element of the HRF took part in a simulated disaster training exercise at Camp Atterbury called Vibrant Response. Vibrant Response is a multi-agency training exercise that brings together military and civilian personnel from around that country. During the week-long event, multiple training events are conducted, including simulated mass decontamination operations. After a certain period of time, all members of the HRF who are in protective suits are required to go through a decontamination station in order to remove their protective suits.
